The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants CIMA alliance with ICAN Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria paved ways for Nigerians Chartered Accountants that wish to obtain CIMA qualification.

ICAN Members who seek CIMA Membership:
“ICAN Members with more than 5 years of relevant work experience shall be allowed to sit for the final exam of the CIMA Professional Qualification, i.e. the Strategic Case Study (SCS), as long as they possess the relevant practical experience to meet the requirements specified by CIMA in obtaining CIMA membership and the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Given the differences in the two syllabi, ICAN members will undertake a mandatory workshop that covers the strategic case study to ensure they are successful at the examination”.
CIMA Members who seek ICAN Membership:
“CIMA Members with more than 5 years of relevant work experience shall be allowed to sit for the final Case Study of the ICAN Qualification as long as they possess the relevant practical experience to meet the requirements specified by ICAN in obtaining ICAN membership. CIMA members will undertake a mandatory workshop that covers the case study to ensure they are successful at the examination”.
CIMA Alliance with ICAN
Membership of either professional body is dependent on the member’s right standing with their originating body.
The fees
GBP(£)400 – CIMA registration and one attempt at the strategic case study
NGN220,000 – Mandatory workshop/tuition
Both sums can be paid in Nigerian Naira. Exchange rate is GBP1 : N450 (Current Exchange Rate is Higher).
Registration process
- Kindly part register as a CIMA student
- Once part registered, you will receive your CIMA contact ID, kindly send this through with the following documents
- ICAN Pathway Application form (attached to this mail)
- ICAN certificate
- Curriculum vitae
- Valid proof of identification
- Proof of payment of N400,000 into our local bank account.
Once we receive the documents mentioned above, the local office will assist in completing the registration.
