Benue State University Announces Postgraduate Admissions. Great news for those who applied to Benue State University’s postgraduate programs for the 2023/2024 academic session! The university has released the admission list. Here’s a breakdown of what admitted students need to do to secure their spot:

Verifying Admission and Acceptance:

  1. Confirmation Fee: The first step is to verify your admission status. Visit the Benue State University portal and pay a non-refundable N1,500 fee using the university’s e-payment platform.
  2. Acceptance Fee: Congratulations if you’re admitted! To secure your place in the program, you’ll need to pay an acceptance fee of N25,000 using the same e-payment platform.

Obtaining Admission Documents:

Once you’ve confirmed your admission and paid the acceptance fee, head back to the university portal to print your official admission letter and acceptance form. These documents are crucial for the registration process.

Payment Options:

The university offers multiple convenient ways to pay your fees:

  • Online Payment: The preferred method is through the university’s e-payment platform accessible on their website (https://portal.bsum.edu.ng/login.jsp). Here, you can select the “postgraduate” payment category, enter your application number, and follow the steps to generate a payment reference number. Use this reference number to complete the online payment.
  • Cash Payment at Banks: For those who prefer offline transactions, the university accepts cash payments at various banks nationwide. The list includes Fidelity Bank, Zenith Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, and several others. Remember to print the payment reference slip from the university portal before heading to the bank. Upon receiving your cash payment, the bank will process your transaction using “College Pay” and provide you with a payment receipt.
  • ATM Payments: If you have an ATM card, you can use it to make your payment at any ATM machine. Select the “Quick Teller” option, choose “pay bills,” and enter the payment reference number generated from the university’s e-payment platform as the customer ID. You’ll also need to enter the specific payment code (04255101) and your mobile phone number to complete the transaction. After successful payment, return to the university portal to log in and print your payment receipt.
  • Quickteller Online Payment: Another online option is using the Quickteller website (https://www.quickteller.com/bsum). Enter your registration number, email address, and mobile number to proceed. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment and print out the confirmation slip. Finally, return to the university portal to print a copy of your payment confirmation slip for your records.

Registration Dates:

Newly admitted postgraduate students should mark their calendars! Registration commences on Monday, April 15th, 2024, and closes on Friday, May 10th, 2024. Don’t miss this window to finalize your enrollment.
