This acclaimed individual is not appointed by the LASPOTECH/FUOYE Management on TOP-UP/HND Conversion program to sell or collect money on behalf of the program Management at any given time.

To this end, the general public is hereby seriously warned not to have any business transaction with this individual with telephone line 08033319534 or any other lines from the scammer.

You are hereby directed to check on the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) and Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) website to have appropriate information about the program.

Babcock University: Information concerning the 2019/2020 2nd Semester Online Examination

Babcock University announced that second semester examination for 2019/2020 session will be conducted on online platform. Online examination among academic institutions are becoming popular and best available option, especially with surge of Covid-19 pandemic. See the statement release from their website below:

Dear Students,

I am sure you are staying safe and healthy. I give glory to God for your lives.

You will recall that it was just one week to writing your second semester examinations that the federal and state governments directed that all schools in the country should close down in the wake of the COVlD-l9 pandemic, inorder to contain its spread and to protect the lives of the people. This unexpected situation made it impossible for the second semester examinations to hold as scheduled at the time.

Notice: Pre-Exams registration comes up on Thursday, 14th May, 2020

However, Babcock University,after many deliberations on various options, has decided to administer the ‘second semester examinations online via the Computer Based Examination approach, which has been in use over the years in the University for all our GEDS courses. We have no doubt that you all are already familiar with this examination format and platform, and would need no further training to use it.Be informed that this is the way the University is going.

  • To this end, the new examinations timetable for the second semester examinations will be made available at least a week to the commencement of the examinations and will be communicated to all students.
  • For the purpose of the examinations, you will use either a smartphone, tablet or laptop/desktop computer. Please ensure that you fully charge your devices at least an hour before taking each examination. It is also expedient that you load sufficient amount of data on your devices for the examinations.
  • The UMlS password of each student will be required for authentication into the examination portal. Therefore, all students who currently have any issues with their UMlS passwords should please contact Mr. Kenneth Kehinde, Ayeni, Assistant Director, UMlS (08168485016) and provide their matriculation numbers and their Babcock University email addresses for prompt resolution of the issue.
  • A chatting facility will be provided on the examination platform to give real-time response to problems from students. A robust helpdesk has been set up by the University to offer solutions to students who experience any problems while taking the examinations.
  • Please ensure that you complete your registration by closing your second semester registration on the UMIS portal of the University. Carrying out this action will grant you eligibility to write your examinations.You shall be contacted further for detailed information on this very shortly.
  • Be rest assured that the integrity of the examinations shall be adequately guaranteed.

Yabatech e-Learning Platform Launch

Just like many other academic institutions in Nigeria that embark on e-learning and teaching platform, Yabatech has also launched her e-learning system called Yabatech e-Learning with Google Classroom to ease communication and collaboration between lecturers and students. it was gathered from Yabatech website as follow:




The Academic Community is now fully activated on an elearning platform which allows Lecturers and their students to collaborate efficiently online. To access, click on http://classroom.google.com. The benefits of the digital platform include;

1. Communicate and collaborate by allowing:
Access anytime, anywhere—Access Classroom 24/7 on the web or via the Android and iOS Classroom mobile apps.
Real-time feedback—View, comment, and edit student work in real time in the Docs grading tool. Annotate student work in the Classroom mobile app.

2. Create class discussions—On the Stream page, post announcements, engage students in question-driven discussions, encourage them to reply to classmates, and move important topics to the top.

3. Manage class discussions—Control who can post to the Stream page, and mute individual students from posting or commenting.
Share content—Share links, videos, and images from websites to Classroom with one click in the Share to Classroom extension.
Push content to students’ screens—Push websites instantly to a class with the Share to Classroom extension. Students can also share their screen with their Lecturers.

Yabatech Registrations Guides for the Newly Admitted Candidates for the Full-Time & Part-Time 2019/2020 Academic Session

As a result of the Corona pandemic which has disrupted all activities around the world, the newly Yabatech students are not exempted as some students yet to complete their registration. Provisions have been made to ease registration process, statement was released and it reads as follow:




All newly admitted FT & PT candidates who are yet to conclude their screening and registration are hereby informed that in view of the current corona virus pandemic , the screening process has been modified to allow all newly admitted candidates conclude the on-line registration process to enable them pay school fees and access the Students Portal in order to see the course materials from the lecturers and commence on line learning.

Concerned candidates are to follow the procedure highlighted below:

Step 2: Upload the required documents for screening on the applicant portal on
Step 1: Admitted candidates are to pay acceptance fee.
(http://portal.yabatech.edu.ng/portal/)
Step 3: After the document upload, candidates are to click on “submit for pending screening”.
Step 4: Click on payment of school fee and pay fee accordingly
Step 5: Generate matriculation number on the applicant portal.
Step 6: Re login to the “student portal” to register your courses
Step 7: Access course materials for the registered courses.

All candidates are to complete the above process between Monday 11th and Friday 22nd May 2020.
Candidates are however to take responsibility for the documents they are uploading. The provisional admission will be forfeited if and when the information uploaded is discovered not genuine or valid.
