The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria CITN Releases Applicants for 2020 Inductions in Batches 1, 2 and 3 respectively. CITN organizes pre-induction training programmes and induction ceremony for the approved applicants for ACCA Applicants, Direct Membership Applicants  and CITN Graduate students.

The following dates and venue are for information for the CITN Pre induction training programmes and induction ceremony:

  1. ACCA CONVERSION TRAINING

DATES – MONDAY, 30TH NOVEMBER – TUESDAY, 1ST DECEMBER, 2020 by 9.00am each day

VENUE – Tax Professionals’ House, Plot 16, Otunba Jobi Fele Way, Central Business District, Alausa – Ikeja.

Time – 9.00am daily

(Approved ACCA Applicants only)

2. PRE-INDUCTION ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 

DATE – WEDNESDAY, 2ND – FRIDAY, 4TH DECEMBER, 2020 by 9am each day

VENUE – Regency Hall, Otunba Jobi Fele Way, Central Business District, Alausa – Ikeja.

Time – 9.00am

Association of National Accountant of Nigeria ANAN Collection of Result Statement and Induction announced according to the institute’s twitter handler, requirement for collection of result statement and fee, induction date and fee are stated below.

“Be notified that the Course 26 final statement of result will be available for collection from Wednesday 21st October 2020. You are expected to pay the sum of Twenty thousand, five hundred naira (N20,500.00) only”

“Note that the next Induction is scheduled to hold in ABUJA on Thursday 29th October 2020, the following are requirements for the induction:

2. ANAN statement of result

3. Duly filled and signed logbook

4.Recommendation letter on a letter headed paper address to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ANAN

7. Letter of appointment/last promotion letter

8. AIT Certificate

9. Change of Name if any

10. Birth Certificate/ Declaration of age

CITN Tax Quiz for Rivers State Schools

The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria CITN Tax Quiz for Rivers State Schools, CITN presents the first edition of CITN tax quiz competition for all senior secondary schools in Rivers state. This will be the first of its kind where a professional body such as CITN stimulates the interest of secondary students with tax knowledge and awareness, see more details from the institute website below.




The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria in collaboration with EggHead Management Consultants present 2020 Secondary Schools in Rivers State Tax Quiz Competition whose grand finale has been scheduled to hold on Friday, December 04, 2020.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
a. Stimulate the interest of Secondary School students in Taxation as a subject of study;

b. Inspire young ones to consider pursuing career in taxation;

c. Provide a platform for intellectual interaction among students, tax practitioners and policy makers;

d. Participation of students at the National Tax Quiz Competition;

e. Improvement on the knowledge of Secondary School students in taxation;

f. Production of regional tax Ambassadors at the Secondary School level; and

g. Reduction of negative perceptions about tax payment which the young ones may have imbibed over time.

ELIGIBILITY
Entry is applicable to ONLY Pupils of Senior Secondary Schools: SS2 to SS3 in Rivers State, Nigeria. Upon the completion and submission of the entry forms, shortlisted candidates will participate in the competition.

The competition will be in stages:
(1) Registration: Students should register via bit.ly/rivers_state_taxquiz on or before November 6, 2020 
(ii) Stage one: Computer Based Test (CBT) for all registered eligible Contestants – November 17, 2020
(iii) Stage two: CBT elimination stage, to pick the best 9 Contestants- November 24, 2020
(iv) Stage three (Final): the 3 best Contestants would emerge the Winner, 1st Runner Up, and 2nd Runner Up.

Final round and presentation of prizes to winners will hold on December 4, 2020

The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria CITN Student Membership Registration still ongoing according to the information gathered from the institute website, procedures and requirements are stated below.

ELIGIBILITY TO REGISTER AS STUDENT MEMBER.
Conditions to be satisfied.
Every prospective candidate for admission to student membership must possess the basic minimum educational qualification as set by Council.
•First degree, Higher National Diploma or its equivalent.
•NYSC certificate.

•Undergraduates seeking to apply as student members of the Institute
•Five O’Level credits in WAEC or GCE or NECO in not more than 2 sittings including English language and Mathematics, provided however that O’ level pass in Mathematics is acceptable for students of humanities while O’ level Pass in English Language is acceptable for science students.
•Letters of admission into their tertiary institutions and letter of recommendation from their Head of Department and will be entitled to a special reduction cost package of 50% discount.

The Chartered Institute of Chartered Taxation of Nigeria CITN has listed the expected inductees for August 2020 induction, the statement from CITN website read as follow:

CITN LIST OF EXPECTED INDUCTEES FOR AUGUST 2020 INDUCTION

Dear Prospective member,

You are advised to go through the below and note the following information:

1. For direct members’ applicants, Pre-Induction Orientation Programme begins from Wednesday August 26 to Thursday, 27 August, 2020. The programme will be held virtually on zoom online platform. Induction programme will hold on Friday, August 28, 2020

2. For ACCA members, Conversion training programme begins from Monday, August 24 to Tuesday, August 25, 2020. The programme will be held virtually on zoom online platform. Induction programme will hold on Friday, August 28, 2020

3. For CITN Graduate Students, you are only required to be available for the induction ceremony which has been scheduled to hold on Friday, August 28, 2020. 

4. Dressing for the programmes is full corporate or full traditional attire.

5. The format for names on the certificate is: FIRST NAME, MIDDLE NAME and SURNAME; Please confirm correctness of your name and its arrangement with the format above. Should there be any correction, please send to omololaolatomiwa@https://www.citn.org/09065283814 on or before Monday August 24, 2020.

6. All prospective inductees are to pay the sum of N1, 500.00 (One thousand five hundred naira only) as District levy to the CITN UBA Bank Account: 1005809652 as this will be pre-requisite for the collection of certificates. Send payment receipt to membership@https://www.citn.org.

7. The modality for the collection of certificates will be communicated to all inductees soon

8. The link to the zoom platform will be sent to all inductees email addresses.

9. Please note that the list of inductees will be updated as payments are made before the deadline of Friday, August 21, 2020

  • Official translations of any documents not in English, stamped by a licensed translator who is authorised and qualified to provide translation services.
