This is to inform all registered students of the Institute that entries for the April 2024 Professional Examinations are officially open! Registration has begun and will continue until the standard deadline of Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024.

 Computer Based Test (CBT).

Exam Delivery: Remote Online Proctoring Platform (computer-based)

  • The Examinations would be conducted via the Remote Online Proctoring Platform. This will allow you to take the examinations from the comfort of your home or location of your choice.
  • Candidates are expected to use a functional computer system with a webcam, reliable & stable internet connection, Examination docket, and pen.
  • Candidates are advised to update their email addresses and phone numbers on the portal immediately after registration.
  • This Examination is automatically monitored. Note that the system captures your movement as well as voices around you, hence any violation will be recorded against you as misconduct.
  • A timer will be located at the top-right corner of the screen to indicate the total time left for completion of the examination. DO NOT at any time leave your computer.

CIBN Exam Registrations Fee and Timetable for October Diet 2023.

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has announced that registration for the October 2023 diet examination has commenced and will close on September 25, 2023.

The examination will be held on October 10-13, 2023 at designated examination centers across Nigeria.

Examination forms for the Banking Professional Examinations, Microfinance and other Specialised Certification programmes are prepared every diet and hosted on the website for download by students who prefer to register for the examinations manually.

Here are some tips for registering for the CIBN October 2023 diet examination:

  • Start planning early. Registration opens, so it is important to start planning early so that you have enough time to complete the registration process.
  • Gather your documents. You will need to provide certain documents when you register for the examination, such as your CIBN membership card or student membership card, your passport-sized photograph, and your proof of payment.
  • Make sure you have the correct information. When you are filling out the registration form, make sure you have the correct information. This includes your name, your date of birth, your contact information, and your examination subject(s).
  • Check the registration deadlines. The registration deadline for the October 2023 diet examination is September 25, 2023. Make sure you register before the deadline.

Kindly Log on to www.cibng.org to register online for the examination. The examination guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for the examination are on the Institute’s website.

All Examinations start at 9:00am for the Morning Session and 2:00pm for the Afternoon Session even if a candidate has one paper to write during the Session. Please consult the timetable for start and end time of every Session

Kindly upload your passport photograph to the CIBN Portal before printing your examination dockets as candidates are expected to scan and upload their docket on the Proctoring Platform to be allowed to write the Examinations.

The Banking Professional and Microfinance Certification Examinations would be conducted via Computer Based Testing (CBT) Platform while other Certification Programme Examinations will be conducted via Remote Online Proctoring for October 2022 examinations.

 • Registration for October 2022 Examinations would close at 5.00pm on Monday, September 19, 2022.

• Experiential Learning Module examination will be conducted via Remote Online Proctoring Plaform.

• Please note that effective April 2023, the Banking Professional and Certification Examinations will be conducted via Remote Online Proctoring.

• Kindly Log on to www.cibng.org to register online for the examination.

• The Timetable has been structured to enable candidates write a maximum of two (2) modules of one and half hours each per Session (i.e. Morning Session: 9:00am to 12:00noon and Afternoon Session: 2:00pm to 5:00pm).

The New Syllabus takes full effect from April 2022. The Timetable has been structured to enable candidates write a maximum of two (2) subjects of one and half hours each per Session (i.e Morning Session: 9:00am to 12noon and Afternoon Session: 2:00pm to 5:00pm).

Registration for April 2022 Examinations would close at 5pm on Monday March 14, 2022.
Candidates must have processed their exemptions if eligible before sitting for the examinations as no candidate can qualify with exemption.

An online tutorial platform would be made available in advance of the real examinations
where students writing the subjects would be able to practice its usage and get acquainted with the application to aid their preparation.

CBT EXAMINATION


All Examinations would be conducted via CBT except the core subjects shaded Pink which are still paper based while the Certified Risk Managers (CRM) Certification as well as the Treasury Management Certification Examinations would be on the Remote Online platform as a pilot phase with effect from April 2022.
