CIPMN Guidelines for May 2021 Online Examination Registration

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, CIPMN Guidelines for May 2021 Online Examination Registration has been published on the institute portal. This is the first Online Diet Examination from the institute schedule to hold on 21st – 22nd May, 2021.

The examination guidelines are stated as follow:

CIPMN Online Examination Instructions, Registration & Guidelines

1. The test will be administered via the internet and will require the following: A good internet connection, Pen/Pencils, A computer with a functional Webcam, Exam photo card.
2. The Institute will reject any registration form that is not properly completed.
3. Select ONLINE EXAM as the Examination Centre.
4. Examination fees once paid are non-refundable.
5. Make sure information loaded by the system e.g. exam category, resit subject (if any) are correct before proceeding to payment.
6. Annual dues must be paid up to date.
7. Download your photocard (examination card), which contains the exam time-table, in PDF and save it on the laptop you would use for the online exam.
8. Examination application submitted cannot be edited or modified.
9. Candidates will only be allowed to sit for the course(s) registered for.
10. Deferment of any examination will not be granted except on medical grounds, supported by a medical certificate/report and a letter from the candidate’s Manager or Head of Department (if applicable).
11. Ensure your Laptop network and battery are in good condition before starting the test.
12. Ensure no materials or books/persons laying around, phones, other gadget/smart devices or anything that gives off as malpractice is found within 360degrees scanning of your environment.
13. Please perform all guided pre-test activities. Ensure there is enough light in the room.
14. Ensure your environment is quiet, kindly put all devices away, including calculators. Where a calculator is required, use the one on your system.
15. This test is automatically monitored hence any violation will be recorded against you.
16. Your Username and Password are required to access the test.
17. Kindly go to https://testclient.fot.com.ng/test using your Username or Password to access your test at the test start date and time.



The notification below will be displayed if you fail to log in at the test date and start time stated: “You are not currently scheduled for an assessment.”


18. Your Username is not case sensitive; however, your password is case sensitive. Once successfully logged in, click on the “Take Test” button to commence your test.
19. Upon log in, read the instructions and click on the link specified on the testing platform to launch your assessment and insert your password a second time.

Please note that once launched, access will be restricted to all other applications on your computer system so, ensure you have your password ready.
20. All applications that use webcam should be closed before launching the test such as Skype, Ms Teams, Zoom, etc.
21. Once your test has commenced, a timer will be located at the top-right corner of the screen which would indicate the total time left to complete the test.
22. DO NOT at any time leave or move your face away from your computer.
23. A preview of your video feed will be shown at the bottom right. Always ensure your face is properly aligned with your camera.
24. For the multiple-choice assessments, there would be question numbers at the bottom of your screen which would change colour as you progress through the test.
25. A red-coloured number indicates a question that has not been answered, while green indicates a question that has been answered.

26. At the end of your test, the display on the screen would read “Test Submitted Successfully”. “Error in submission” notification at the end of the test is as a result of a poor internet connection.

Do not close the test window. Try to submit again while ensuring that your network is stable. Also, ensure all uploads at the end get to 100%.
27. Please ensure you are using a stable internet connection throughout the duration of the test. In the event of an internet disruption during the test.

Do not close the test window as this will prematurely end the test without submission of your activity and you may be unable to login again. Instead, check your internet source and try to ensure that it is stable.


28. Contact CIPM for any clarification on your result or information on your examination application.
29. By proceeding with payment, you agree with the above terms and conditions of the Institute’s Online Examination.

MALPRACTICE AND PENALTY

1. Impersonation: Student will be barred from writing further exams. Impersonators would be handed over to the police for prosecution.
2. Coming into the examination room with prepared Answer Scripts or another computer system apart from the one to be used for the exam: Student will be barred from writing further examinations in that diet and suspended for 5 years.
3. If found in the examination room with jotted notes (scripts), and/or writing on your palm or any other part of your body any relevant materials to the examination: Student will be barred from writing further examinations in that diet and will be suspended for 5 years.
4. Co-operating with any other person when completing the exam, this must be entirely the candidate’s work: Student will be barred from writing further examinations in that diet and will be suspended for 5 years.
5. Failure to follow the rules for an examination, in a way that might result in gaining of an advantage: Student will be barred from writing further examinations in that diet and will be suspended for 5 years.
6. Leaving your computer and test environment during the test period and coming back to continue with the test: Student will be barred from writing further examinations in that diet, and will be suspended for 5 years.
7. Not sitting in an upright position and moving face away from the screen during the test: Students will repeat the paper at their own cost.
8. Reading aloud/talking during the test: Student will be barred for 5 years.
9. Sitting in a dark environment/room with a poor lightning system: Students will repeat the paper at their own cost.
10. For any other activities/actions viewed as misconduct or malpractice, captured by the proctoring system, a due investigation will be carried out and applicable penalties will be issued based on the CIPM malpractice policy contained in the Syllabus available in the student portal.

How to Pay CIPMN Examination:

1. Open www.cipmnigeria.org
2. On the home page, click on Portal Login
3. Enter your student membership number (e.g. CIPM/STD/00000) and password as “password” (without quotes) if you have not changed your password
4. Change your password (This is applicable to those logging in for the first time)
5. Click on “Operations” and select “Individual Biodata” from drop down menu 6. Update your profile and ensure your scanned passport photograph (JPEG format, 20kb maximum file size) is uploaded.
7. Click on “Operations” and select “Exam Application” from drop down menu
8. Select your year and the examination diet period
9. Select your Examination Center and Study Center
10. Select the type of payment either “Interswitch (Mastercard, VISA, Verve)” or “e-Tranzact” to know the amount to pay at the bank as calculated by the portal.

Interswitch and VISA cards

10a. Kindly note the Transaction Reference Number as generated by the platform at this stage and proceed to payment.
10b. Supply the required information (including card number, expiration day and CVV) and proceed.
10c. An OTP will be sent to your phone number and/email as registered with your bank. Or you may be required to generate token using your token device.
10d. Supply the OTP on the platform and complete payment.

E-Tranzact Payment

10a. Kindly take note of the amount to be paid at this stage (Total Sum + Bank Charges + Technology Fee)
10b. Pay the total sum at any bank that has E-TRANZACT platform into Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM)
10c. You will be given payment receipt that contains “Confirmation Order Number
10d. Go back to the portal to complete the payment. You may need to go through steps 1-10 again.
10e. Kindly note the Transaction Reference Number as generated by the platform at this stage and proceed to payment.
10f. Click on “Add Confirmantion Order Number” and supply the confirmation order number as provided on the receipt gotten from the bank.
10g. Complete your payment process”.

11. Print your examination card which must contain your exam number, student number exam centre/venue and sharp passport photograph on the space for passport. (Tiny passport on individual photocards would not be acceptable).
12. Laminate your examination card.

Please note that the Institute will not be held liable for applications incorrectly filled or data not given by self or proxy or applications rejected for want of required attachment(s).

Online Examination Instruction & Guidelines

1. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the November 2020 Diet Examination will be written ONLINE
2. The current curriculum will be used for the preparation of the exam questions
3. Examination tools are working laptop with webcam, and dedicated internet which would be provided by the Candidate
4. You are required to seat for the online exam at a conducive environment with no human disturbances or interaction
5. Your laptop webcam captures your movement and activities during the online exam
6. There is remote monitoring or invigilation at the seat of your online exam
7. Google search, opening other applications/pages, or books online is prohibited during the online exam
8. The Institute will reject any registration form that is not properly completed
9. Candidates are responsible for correctly noting the dates and times of their examination and are advised to check the timetable immediately before the exam date for any possible changes
10. Examination fees once paid are non-refundable
11. Select ONLINE EXAM as the Examination Centre
12. Make sure information loaded by the system e.g. exam category, resit subject (if any) are correct before proceeding to payment
13. Annual dues must be paid up to date
14. Download your photocard (examination card), which contains the exam time-table, in PDF and save on the laptop you would use for the online exam
15. Examination application submitted cannot be edited or modified
16. Candidates will only be allowed to sit for the course(s) registered for

18. Contact CIPM for any clarification on your result or information on your examination application
19. Any Candidate involved in examination misconduct/malpractice shall automatically cease to continue with that paper and further papers in that examination until his/her case has been decided by the Governing Council
20. Cell phones and other mobile devices are strictly prohibited around your vicinity during exam. Any candidate found with any of such devices would not be allowed to complete that particular paper, and the paper will be cancelled.
21. If found in the examination vicinity with text book, jotted notes (scripts), and/or writing on your palm, the Candidate will be barred from writing further examinations in that diet, and subsequently for 5 years
22. Candidates caught soliciting information or assistance during examination will be barred from continuing the examination, and thereafter be suspended for 2 years
23. For a case of impersonation, the Candidate will be barred from writing further exams
24. By proceeding with payment, you agree with above terms and conditions of the Institute’s Online Examination.

Online registration is compulsory for all students.

METHOD OF PAYMENT:

INTERSWITCH AND VISA CARDS

1. Open www.cipmnigeria.org

2. On the home page, click on “Portal Login

3. Enter your student membership number (e.g. CIPM/STD/00000) and password as “password” (without quotes) if you have not changed your password

4. Change your password (This is applicable to those logging in for the first time)

5. Click on “Operations” and select “Individual Biodata” from drop down menu

6. Update your profile and ensure your scanned passport photograph (JPEG format, 20kb maximum file size) is uploaded.

7. Click on “Operations” and select “Exam Application” from drop down menu

8. Select your year and the examination diet period

9. Select your Examination Center and Study Center

10. Select “Interswitch” or “Visa” depending on the type of card you are holding

11. Select “E-tranzact” if you prefer to pay through bank deposit.

STEPS FOR E-TRANZACT PAYMENT

  • Go through step 1-10 above to know the amount to pay at the bank as calculated by the portal
  • Pay the total sum for exam and annual dues (Bank charges inclusive) at any bank that has E-TRANZACT platform into Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM)
  • You will be given payment receipt that contains “Confirmation Order Number
  • On the payment gateway, add your confirmation order number.

12. Go back to the portal to complete the payment.

13. Print your examination card which must contain your exam number, student number exam centre/venue and sharp passport photograph on the space for passport. (Tiny passport on individual photocards would not be acceptable).

14. Laminate your examination card.
